Do you have any information on These people who have the negatives on Ellen White on another web site and why do they so fiercely want to eradicate her from all that is called holy?
I see a lot of truth coming from Ellen G whites writings and I sometimes know that the truth gets trampled on a lot, but some of the things that these sites are saying make sense! But I'm trying to hold on to what I believe , but it's hard. 'Who is D. Anderson, DM.Canright, Walter rea,? Or go to An Investigation of SDA Prophetess Ellen G. White These are suppossedly people who had been in the church for many years.
D. Anderson is Dirk Anderson, who operates the ellenwhite.org site you referred to. He was once way over on one side as a supporter of Mrs. White, but as sometimes happens, he then swung way over on the other side as an opponent of hers.
Dudley M. Canright was an Adventist minister in the early days. He knew James and Ellen White, and he was looked upon as a prominent evangelist in the 1870s and 1880s. But he seemed to want more recognition than he could get as an Adventist. He once told a man he was working with in evangelism, "I believe I could be a great man if it wasn't for our unpopular message." He friend replied, "This message has made you what you are, and if you ever leave it, your sun will set in obscurity." Canright left the ministry in discouragement four times, coming back strongly each time, before he left it finally the fifth time, and with it he also left the church. He was soon writing and speaking in opposition to the church. The arguments he offered against Mrs. White have been answered in the book "Ellen G. White and Her Critics," by F. D. Nichol, available on our website (under "Online Books").
Walter Rea was an Adventist minister who was very "big" on Ellen G. White until he found that she used wording from some others in developing her own writings. In my opinion, he had an incorrect view of how God gives messages to a prophet. He seems to believe that whatever the prophet writes on the basis of inspiration from God will bear no resemblance to anything the prophet may have read. If it does, he feels, then the prophet "copied" it rather than getting it from God. But this just doesn't hold up, even in Scripture.
That's a quick rundown on the people you asked about. When Ellen White didn't live up to their ideas of how a prophet should be, or when their own ambitions were disappointed, they turned against the church and against her.
I hope this helps. Let me know how I can help you further. God bless!
