Sidney Adventist Hospital (Wahroonga, New South Wales, AU)

A 329-bed institution accepting medical, surgical, and obstetrical cases, owned and operated by the South Pacific Division and situated at Wahroonga, a suburb 12 miles (20 kilometers) northwest of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The institution stands at an elevation of 700 feet (215 meters) in a bushland setting and is housed principally in a 10-story brick building. A three-year course is offered by a school of nursing, accredited since 1927 by the state. In 1993 the staff numbered 1,400 full-time and part-time employees, approximately 70 percent Seventh-day Adventists, and 450 visiting medical practitioners.
